Learn the Foods that Trigger Migraines and Find Headache Relief

Migraine headaches can be one of the most debilitating and painful attacks on one’s body that is considered “common” like a “common cold.” Anyone who suffers from migraines knows that, common or not, they are awful to have and even harder to avoid.

Much research has been done to find relief for migraine suffers, however, despite the research efforts of the health community, there is still no silver bullet for shooting migraines dead in their tracks.

Many people that get migraines have found their own way to handle and manage their headaches, but this can change from sufferer to sufferer. What the health community has concluded, however, is that there are certain foods that trigger migraines and that being cognizant of these foods is a great start to prevention of migraines (as opposed to just treating migraines).

We recommend visiting this website to learn more about the foods that could be causing you trouble.

Can Antidepressants Help Prevent Migraines?

Many drugs and treatments that we often find “in the wild” of the health community seem to be re-worked or revisited to help multiple patients to treat multiple diseases or illnesses.

One example of a drug that is used to treat more than its originally intended ailment is antidepressants. As the name implies, antidepressants are used to help treat people with depression. Anyone who suffers from migraines, however, may have heard or come across the recommendation that antidepressants can also be used for the prevention and treatment of migraine headaches.

But the question is: Are antidepressants an appropriate treatment for migraines? Read one doctor’s answer to this at this website.

With side effects such as weight gain, fatigue, constipation and dry mouth, many migraine sufferers may decide to stick with fighting the migraines instead. But for others who know the extreme severity of a chronic migraine, at least trying antidepressants as a treatment method may be well worth the effort… especially if it works.
